Maybe she’s juggling a career and the demands of being a wife and mom…
Her schedule is crazy and the responsibilities are never-ending — but she handles it all with a sense of competence and grace.
Well, I have to admit something…Many people would say that I’m that woman.
I’ve been the CEO of several companies, and at each one I raised profits significantly. I started my own business in the middle of an economic crisis, and made $145,000 in the first 30 days.
My marriage has never been stronger, and my kids are happy and thriving. My schedule allows me to take tennis lessons and volunteer at my children’s schools.
I’ve had many people ask me with curiosity (and sometimes envy) how I do it…and how they too can become wildly successful in life and business.
Here’s a secret I haven’t told many people. Listen up, because it’s kind of hard for me to put it out there…
My life didn’t always run this smoothly.
For every accomplishment I’ve had in business, I’ve had setbacks and big lessons to learn.
I wasn’t born with a magical playbook. My success is built on years and years of trial and error. And trust me — I’ve had my share of errors.
The good news is that my experience has allowed me to develop systems that work…strategies anyone can use.
My goal now is to empower busy women like you to achieve success without burning out. I want to show you that you shouldn’t feel discouraged by someone like me — you should feel inspired!
And it all starts with 5 essential skills that separate the high-achievers from the ones who are just getting by.
These are the skills that help people break away from the pack and achieve success they never dreamed possible.
In order to become successful, you must master these five things:
Pay attention to where you are and what you’re working on at all times. This is the opposite of multi-tasking.
I hear working moms brag about how good they are at multi-tasking. It makes me sad. That’s because when you’re multi-tasking, nothing gets your full attention.
To create extraordinary results, your full attention is needed. Concentration is a skill and it takes practice. Start that practice today.
Most entrepreneurs and businesswomen fail not because they’re lazy or because they don’t work. They fail because they work on the wrong things.
You need to understand what’s important and what’s not.
Which tasks, projects, meetings, emails, and phone calls will yield revenue and which will not?
Unfortunately, most people work on things they’re confident doing — not the things that will bring about the most important results. Be aware of this tendency and decide instead to focus on what works.
Organization — you do it all the time in your home. So why don’t you incorporate the same skill into your business?
You could come to my house and see the kids running around having a grand old time…
But when the clock strikes 8:00, it’s bedtime. I know it, my husband knows it, and most importantly, my kids know it.
But guests are always shocked. How did we do this?
Quite simply, it’s a practice we’ve reinforced over the years. The same organization and repetition apply to your business.
If you’re doing something now, there’s always a better way and there’s always a best way.
And because we live in an ever-changing world, one day your “best” way will need to be on its way to “better.”
Learn to love the process of improvement and your adaptability and flexibility will be a huge asset.
#5: Form Strong Relationships
In business as in life, relationships are key. Take the time to form authentic, strong bonds with your colleagues, employees, and clients.
All relationships hinge on our encounters with another person stacked end to end.
In survey after survey, those who lack strong interpersonal skills are tagged as less competent, less attractive, and less qualified as leaders.
The ability to communicate successfully can turn any product into a franchise.
Once you understand the importance of these skills and practice them on a regular basis, you’ll be ready to apply hard-core business and marketing skills so you can achieve the life you deserve.
If you’re looking for a practical, lucrative home-based business that empowers you to apply these skills and do something you love, read my strategic report on how to double your paycheck in only four hours a week.
