And maybe, hopefully, you even believe that it can work in your life.

I hear this question a lot…
So often, in fact, that I felt compelled to write about it. I want to help you understand what you might be doing wrong (though not on purpose!)…
So you can finally manifest your dreams, needs, and desires.
The Mistake Most People Make
Here’s something a lot of people don’t realize…
There’s an inherent danger in working with the Law of Attraction.
One particular mistake can actually destroy all your best efforts to manifest what you wish for.
Let me explain. The very act of wanting something often carries the energy of “lack.”
Think of about… the very reason we want something is because we start out feeling that we don’t have it!
As an example, say you want to attract more financial abundance, or a better relationship, or a healthier body.
Chances are you currently feel a sense of lacking (or wanting) in that area of your life — otherwise, why would you even be asking for it?
I’m sure you’ve heard before that the Law of Attraction means that “like attracts like.”
That’s true, but it’s important to realize that it’s not so much the image of abundance that the Law of Attraction responds to, but rather your dominant feeling state.
If deep inside you feel lack about what you want to attract…
That’s what the law of attraction will respond to most strongly — and that’s what you’ll attract!
So what’s the answer?
The one thing that really, really works for attracting…
Is practicing gratitude.
Don’t do this only for what you want to attract, but for all the blessings in your life. Make it a habit.
Keep a “Gratitude Journal” on your nightstand. Each night, record what you’re thankful for that day.
And I don’t care how negative things may appear in your life…
There are always things you can be grateful for.
Take time to notice the little things that make your day brighter — a sincere smile from the cashier, a kind word from a colleague, a beautiful landscape or photo.
In addition to expressing gratitude, you can use meditation to focus on the feeling of already having what you desire.
Now you might wonder — how can I be grateful for something that doesn’t exist yet?
And here’s the key point…
The fact that you have set your intention to create it means it does exist. It exists in consciousness, where everything begins anyway.
Everything that exists now first existed as an idea.
As proof, take a look around the room. Your computer, the furniture, and even your house first existed in the mind before they manifested into a “tangible” form.
Gratitude is important for another important reason.
Want to be unhappy? Simply have an attitude of lack and wanting, and I guarantee you’ll feel pretty darn miserable!
On the other hand, you have the ability to feel happy and fulfilled in any moment…
Simply by choosing to focus on what you do have and the many ways in which you are being blessed right now.
So take some time now to focus on everything in your life that you can be grateful for — not just the things you’ve chosen to manifest, but also the routine, everyday things that we’re all guilty of taking for granted at times.
To sum it up: Be grateful for what you have, be grateful for what is on the way, and be open to what the universe is lining up for you.
